Get The Best Out Of Your Reed Diffuser
What is a Reed Diffuser and How do I Use One?
Reed diffusers are becoming a more and more popular method of fragrancing your home as they are available in a large range of fragrances, that offer you a clean and long lasting scent.
Using a reed diffuser couldn’t be more simple! They’re made up of three parts – a glass bottle, scented oil, and a number of wooden sticks. When you first use it, all you have to do is remove the stopper from the bottle (if it already contains the oil, if not, just pour the liquid into it), insert the sticks until they are soaked with fragranced oil, take them out, turn them upside down, then put them back in the bottle – that’s it!
Reed Diffuser Tips
If you haven’t tried one before and are wondering whether to have a change from your usual method of home fragrance, there are a few tips to follow to make sure you get the best out of a reed diffuser:
- When you’re deciding where to place the bottle, try to keep it away from any drafts or radiators. Too much breeze or heat can cause the liquid to evaporate too quickly, meaning the diffuser will run out of scent much sooner than it should.
- You can control the amount of fragrance your reed diffuser releases by changing the number of sticks you use. More diffuser sticks means more fragrance is released. If you’re using it in a small area, try not using as many.
- You can refresh your fragrance simply by flipping the wooden sticks. All you need to do is take them out of the bottle, turn them upside down, then replace. Just remember to wash your hands and wipe up any fragranced oil that may have dripped onto your surfaces.
Reed diffusers make a great alternative to burning scented candles as they can be left unattended in the rooms of your home without having to worry about flames. They are designed to be left alone for 4-6 weeks with minimum supervision and if you follow our tips, you’ll get the very best out of your diffuser. They come in a variety of fragrances which makes them suitable for any area – you can have seabreeze in your bathroom, lemon in your kitchen and Moroccan spice in your living room!
