Tarot and Oracle
Tarot cards have been used for centuries as a form of divination, with the most popular variety being the Rider-Waite. Tarot packs often come with minimal or no instructions and are best used in tandem with a book or another resource to learn the meanings of the cards and how to use them.
Oracle cards on the other hand are more suited to beginners and casual readers as they usually come with a full instructions booklet with guidance on how to do spreads/readings and the meanings of each card which can vary widely from deck to deck. Unlike Tarot, which may have different designs but contain the same traditional cards and suits, Oracle decks each have their own systems and meanings and are often built around a different theme such as Fairies, Spirit Animals or more commonly Angels - which is why Oracle cards are often referred to as "Angel Cards".
