Sweet Almond Essential Carrier Oil
Latin name: prunus amygdalus dulcis
Sweet Almond is a delicate, odourless, moisturising oil ideally suited for the face. Obtained from the dried almond kernels, it is cold pressed, contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and E, and is a rich source of protein. Shelf life is approximately 1yr.
Properties and uses:
It is helpful with all skin types, being non-greasy and spreads easily
It is especially good for eczema, relieving itching, soreness, dryness and inflammation
It is a very good lubricant, but not penetrating, which makes it excellent as a massage oil and protectant.
It protects, soothes and softens the skin, while conditioning and promoting a youthful, clear complexion
It helps the skin balance loss of moisture
It can help to relieve muscle-related aches and pains
