It can cool and soothe areas of inflammation, as well as improve eyesight.
Lapis is also said to alleviate insomnia and vertigo.
Interesting fact: In ancient Egypt, lapis lazuli stone was crushed into a powder which was then painted on the eyelids to ward off evil spirits.
